The Allende Calvario red wine is made by the Finca Allende winery and its grapes come from the El Calvario estate located in Briones, near Logroño. It is made mostly by Tempranillo to which a very small percentage of Grenache and Graciano is added to add some very subtle nuances. It is a wine that expresses the character and expressiveness of the terroir. All this protected under the Denomination of Origin Rioja.

Type: Red wine aged in oak barrels, DOCa Rioja.

Varietals: Tempranillo (90%), Graciano (2%), Grenache (8%).

Aging: 18 months in new French oak barrels.

Manual harvest of Tempranillo, Graciano and Grenache. Cold preventive maceration at 5 ° C for 6 days. Controlled fermentation at 28º C for 14 days, with three pumps during one day. Total maceration with skins for 20 days. Decantation by gravity and vertical press. The malolactic is done in barrels.

Intense red color with purple hues, high intensity.

On the nose, aromatic and balsamic herbs, black fruits and compote together with mineral notes.

Great harmony in the mouth, silky and balanced tannins, soft and voluminous, intense and a long smooth finish. Came to save.

Allende Calvario wine pairs perfectly with roasted red meats, suckling pig, lamb, aged cheeses, game stews.
