Description

The Capçanes vermouth is made by the Celler Capçanes winery located in the town of Capçanes in Montsant. The winery is famous for the production of Kocher wines and for its collection of Grenache to express its "terroir".


Type: Vermouth of white varieties aged in oak barrels.

Varieties: White Grenache, Macabeo.

Aging: A minimum of 24 months in French oak barrels.



ELABORATION:

White wine is topped with wine alcohol and sugar. Later it is aged in French oak barrels in a system of soleras. Once the aging is finished, it is clarified, filtered and finally bottled.
Gentian, elderflower, juniper berries and sage are the herbs and roots that give the Capçanes vermouth its character.

Aging for more than 24 months in French oak barrels. A blending of only a part of the barrel is carried out, which maintains an old wine floor, and a part of new wine (soleras system).


TASTING:

Dark brown color with hints of mahogany and caramel.

On the nose it has a peculiar aroma with notes of gentian, elderberry and sage.

In the mouth it has a good body, soft sweetness, pleasant bitterness and a very balanced structure that invites you to drink it alone or with ice.


PAIRINGS:

Capçanes vermouth pairs perfectly with all kinds of appetizers: olives, cockles, potato chips, nuts ... and even to cook those dishes where you want to add a touch of sweetness and Mediterranean aroma.
